Santa's Elves

A few of us took off to distribute chocolates among the patients and their attenders (except the ones going for surgery, unfortunately; the children were not pleased with this development). We received a ton of Korean packages, including snacks, masks…socks. The socks and electric hand fans were handed out to the patients. Again, they were a little confused, but thankful. Fans are always useful. The next day, we gave out chocolates to them, again, and were met with confusion and joy, again.

Suddenly, in the middle of the day, heart shaped balloons were given life by all the children in that floor. One boy decided that it was his time to audition for FIFA and violently kicked the balloon around for an hour straight, a few hours before his surgery. It's no wonder that he fell asleep in exhasution. The nurse aunties giggled in glee.

At Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Christmas came a little earlier this year. The smiles on their faces were immeasurable.
